Pictures of my new milk stand/stanchion

My husband made this for me out of recycled lumber and a pallet.  (Note, if you can't see the pictures, they're on eatingwildmontana.blogspot.com.

  1. Good work on the milk stand, we built one in similar fashion with all recycled lumber & a pallet for the base. It looks like you have a side bar too. I found that is needed to keep a kicking goat from going over the side with her head still in the stanchion! Are you getting milk yet? While our one in milk is trained to get on the stand, she hasn't cooperated yet to stand for a milking. p.s...congratulations on your canning success!
